I liked the book Tom Sawyer. I haven't read it for awhile, but there are parts in the book like the fence painting scene and when Tom fakes his own death that make me want to read it again. There are also parts in the book I can relate to, which is another part of its appeal. When Tom has the urge to stop following rules and run away, Tom's dislike for school, and when he goes searching for something different and knew those things have all crossed my mind at least once. For me to like a book there has to be moments where I can go, yah i know how they feel. If you can't relate to characters, growing to love them can be very hard.

I thought Tom Sawyer was a good book. It had alot of good adventure and kept my attention. The characters are very easy to realte to, which is also a major part of why I liked the book so much. Everyone knows how it feels to be rejected by a crush and try to make them jealous, and whats its like the want to just break all the rules and run away, so its very easy to put yourself in the shoes of the characters. I also liked the way it was writen. Though the language can be bad in some parts, it really makes me feel closer to the characters; like i'm really in their shoes.

I was very surprised how much I enjoyed Tom Sawyer. Due to the fact that I could not stand Huck Finn, I assumed that Tom Sawyer would not tickle my fancy either. I kept an open mind throughout the whole book and ended up adoring the book! Tom's little schemes made the story glide right along and were pretty mature for a young boy; he kept me entertained from start to finish. The real life experiences like rejection by Becky and trying to find excuses to miss school drew me closer to Tom's character. Knowing the emotions that the children were experiencing just added to my liking of the story.

I've always liked the book of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. The easy relatability of all of the characters make it so easy to imagine oneself in their position. I love the cave scene when they're on a school field trip I believe, and Becky and Tom sneak off and get lost in the cave. The innocence of the sugar trick and the spooning the liver/cod? oil down the poor kitty's throat is so entertaining. I think I'll read it again when I get the chance!

I felt that the book was okay... I thought it was a little hard to understand and that it was a little controversial... of course that was the language of back then, but other than that it was pretty good.

I really liked this book. I thought it was insightful and funny. I also like that i can relate to the book and Tom. How he does stuff every kid wants to do. I love his ideas because they are ingeniuse and I wish i could have thought of something that cool. I felt like i really understood and got to know the charachter better than some books.
